itchy penis
i have a itchy bump on the shaft of my penis its on the back side right below the head it came up about three days ago and itches realy bad any clue of what it is

It could be a case of yeast infection or an allergic reaction.Alternatively it could be just a collection of normal substance found below the foreskin which has accumulated and is causing the itch.
Smegma is a combination of exfoliated (shed) epithelial cells, transudated skin oils, and moisture, and can accumulate under the foreskin of males.Lack of aeration and irritation because of smegma and discharge surrounding the glans penis causes inflammation and edema.
Preventing accumulation is best done by rinsing the area with warm water. Fungal infections are treated by local application of anti-fungal medications like Monistat.
For an allergy you can take oral anti-histamines and apply a amild Corticosteroid cream on the affected area.
