lchcen schlerosi

Hello, as I can remember this burning, itching, began shortly after I had surgery for a vaginal prolapse.  I went to two different gynecologists, and to no avail. I was recommended to go to a gyn oncologist, and was diagnosed with lichen schlerosis.  What is it?

I'm experiencing this same type of itching  following a pelvic organ prolapse surgery.  It seem to occur a couple of days after  I was treated with "silver nitrate" during my 2 week post op visit for treatment of  wound "granulation."  Were you treated with "silver nitrate" following your surgery?

A localized problem, not serious but may go on for sometime.Potent steroid cremes help. This is an autoimmune problem in which part of the body reacts to itself.
