lip burn

i burned the top of my lip while holding a sparkler on halloween. the sparkler touched my upper lip and burnt it. a blister formed about a week later, and it is now january and blister is still there. it bleeds on occasion but is painless. i have used cole soar creams, vasaline and warm water. nothing works. how do i get rid of this.

Hello,
For such a blister, quickly rinse the area and apply an antiseptic such as neosporin. Also try to keep the lips mositurised by applying good lip balm or Vaseline on the lips. If the symptoms still persist then get an evaluation done and get pyogenic granuloma ruled out.

I guess that since it is on your lip it keeps cracking open. If it was on MY lip, I'd use some good chap stick, maybe one with all natural ingredients in it.
Now, that being said, since it is on you lip, and lips are close to your lymph nodes...IF you have a fever, have any foul smelling drainage from the wound area, or if the drainage is green, yellow, or any color beside clear...go see
your MD. Don't put it off.
