one circular hive-like rash

Thank you for having this Q&A available.  A couple of years ago one red hive like circle appeared the the left and below my belly button.  It itched and looked like a silver dollar sized hive.  It was warm to the touch, evenly red in color and was completely smooth.  It lasted about as long as a mosquito bite (4 or 5 days-max), then disappeared
About 6 months later the same exact hive like circle appeared in the exact same place--exactly. It didn't get bigger than before and had all the same symptoms.  Once again, it went away in a few days.  When it goes away, you would have never known there was a rash there.  In another 7 months or so.....same thing....exact same place.
It  has come back once again....everything the same, same exact place.  No other symptoms, never appears anywhere else and is always just one --not a cluster.   It's very strange to me.  Any ideas???

Thanks
SG

Hello,

I cannot confirm without examination, but it can be due to fungal infections like ringworm(tinea corporis). The other possibility is of nummular eczema.

Keep your effected area dry and keep a separate towel for yourself. Most forms of ringworm respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, and clotrimazole. If still the symptoms persist then pls get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.

Strange, sounds like the question I just posed about the issue I am having with a recurring welt on my thigh. Unfortunately, I can't help you, but hopefully someone who can will answer both of our questions.
