I have LP in the mouth (tongue and cheek), penis and fingernails. Its not treatable and you can't can't catch it. It can only be confirmed by biopsy which is what I had. All they do is monitor it a give pain relief if required.
Rare association but you can get easily tested
i have read that lichen planus may be associated with hepatitis c. is this a possible concern for me? i ask because the symptoms i've been experiencing developed 3-4 days after a high risk sexual exposure. i have had the necessary hiv and syphilis testing and both were negative...
LP is the likely diagnosis.Oral submucous fibrosis is another, but dont worry, both are treatable conditions.
a few different things: i a whiting/greyish blistery bilateral rash on my upper lip and corners of mouth, rough erosive spots on the inside of my cheeks, whitish cracks/cuts (for lack of better words) on the inside of my cheeks and lips on in the mucosa, and somtimes white or red painless lesions/sores in inside the mouth...
What are the symptoms?LP is a lacy white area in side mouth or on lip, might burn while eating.
