Rash only on face

About a week ago my face started to break out in a rash. At first I thought it was my faces reaction to a new laundry detergent but that wouldn't make any sense since this rash was only on my face. My skin has always been very sensitive so I decided to just wait it out until it went away. It never did. My skin is blotchy, itchy, and the blotches are a bit raised. I am african american.
I am at a total loss and would love any help or suggestions.

Thank you for the advice. Since I posted that it's begun to get very dry and is now scaly and peeling. I'm beginning to think it is eczema since I did suffer from severe eczema when I was a child.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The symptoms are suggestive of contact dermatitis or urticaria. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl and apply some calamine lotion of the itchy areas. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist and get yourself prescribed topial and oral steroids . Also consult an allergist and get evaluated for chronic urticaria if it persists for more than 6 weeks.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
