red spots in my pores?!

For the past 4 months, i have had a bit of trouble with a small patch of skin on my forehead above my right eye. It looks like there is red spots in my pores. For a little while it had pimples, but that all cleared up by me using my usually face cleaner, but the spots in my pores are going nowhere! First i tried to take care of it myself by using clearasil pads. I had used them before to clear up acne and it worked, but this time it never. So I went to see a doctor and he told me its a typical case of acne, and gave me a antibacterial soap and cream to use. This, in my opinion, only made things worse. I used to cry when i used the cream cause it stung like crazy and the soap would only make things worse. So i went back 3 weeks later and he gave me birth control and told me to come back in a month. A month passed and nothing changed, so i went to a new doctor. He told me to sotp taking the pills as soon as i was finished and started me on new pills and cream cause he believed i had an infection on my face. Now, almost a month later, nothing has changed. Now, people are telling me it could be a chemical burn from all the products ive usedover hte past 4 months! To add to the problem, my grad is in a month! I need help! any suggestions as to what to do next?!

In the picture is the acne (or whatever it is) on my forehead! That is it at its best! right now, it is much worse! it just doesnt go away!

Thanks for your tips! As for your questions:

1) yes, it is only on one small portion for my forehead..
2) no where else on the body is any pimples.
3) not itchy at all!
4) the pills were bayer birth control, then novo-minocycline
5) yes

i am almost done a 30 - day perscription with them.. no improvements. i have also tried a medicated shampoo, pinning my hair back and nothing has changed. if anything, it seems to have cleared up a little with my tanning i am doing.

Hi,

Is this "acne" only localized on a single patch of skin?

Do you have any similar  lesions in other parts of the body?

Is this itchy?

What pills were given to you?

Were these antibiotics?

Differentials for this will be a folliculitis, acne ( yes, still a differential),and a fungal infection.A dermatitis may be considered due to the chronicity of the lesions but you have never noted them to be itchy. Folliculitis may be readily treated with a course of topical or oral antibiotics.Have you had a complete course of antibiotics for this?

Using a mild and bland shampoo and facial wash may help. This may have an underlying allergic component for all we know. Avoid using abrasive cosmetics and try to avoid extreme changes in temperatures. You may use a mild hypoallergenic sunscreen to avoid further irritation that may be caused by the sun.
