redness on lower right leg & ankle

For about a month I have had a redness on the lower right side of my right leg and ankle. There is NO pain, swelling or itching just the redness. My thoughts are that it could be from the shower cleaner spray that I had been using. I am a 63 year old male with osteoarthritis in the right hip. I have made an appointment to see a dermatologist but that is not until March 1st. Is it safe to wait another month for that appointment ? Thank you for your answers.

Then it is most likely to be schamberg,s disease a capillaritis of cause not well known. In any case this should not cause you any concern. Do consult your doc.
Best wishes.

An alternative diagnosis would be schamberg's which is not serious, but difficult to get rid off!
