itchy rash in groin region

About a week or two ago i developed a red itchy speckled sort of rash in the hair line of the pubic area. It does get quite itchy in hot weather and whenever i tend to sweat there. I was just wondering if you had any ideas of what this could be and what I could do to treat it successfully?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

The presence of this rash may suggest a fungal infection, a contact or allergic dermatitis, and folliculitis.

The redness and itchiness may highly suggest a dermatitis or fungal infection.Weather increases moisture and sweat in the area which may irritate  the skin and consequently enable the growth of involved organisms. The heat may cause subsequent irritation which may lead to redness, itchiness, scratching and consequent excoriations.

I suggest that you seek consult with your primary physician so that this may be properly assessed .You may be needing topical medications as maintenance therapy.
