Hi,
After liquid nitrogen treatment, the skin will become swollen and red; later on, it may blister. A scab will form and it will fall off by itself in 2-4 weeks. The skin growth will come off with the scab, leaving healthy new skin. The darkened skin may be due to hyperpigmentation. Usually, liquid nitrogen treatment often leaves a permanent, white scar which is usually flat.
You need to return to your doctor for the follow-up appointment for proper evaluation. Take care and keep us posted.
Hi,
thanks for your reply. I also want to know will the hyperpigmentation be permanent? or it will fade away by itself?
Hi,
Usually hyperigmentation are inflammatory reactions of the skin. It will usually resolve after a few weeks. However, since it is difficult to make a clinical diagnosis over the internet wherein complete physical examination can not be done, it is still best to have your doctor evaluate this.
Take care and regards.
