sores on feet

Hi, my father in law has a rash on his toes which is warm and itchy. under his toes the skin is blistering and sometimes bleeds a little. the rash is also on the groin. I have attached 2 pictures of the feet. the doctor has no idea what it is and prescribed anti biotics. this was 6 months ago and since then he has been given varius creams which have not worked. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? with thanks Ian

I am not a dr, but have had a lot of problems with my skin over the years. One thing I can think of is allergies, because both areas are where people sweat. First, I would go to free and clear soap for all clothing, sheets, blankets. No dyes or perfumes. They also make dryer sheets that are free and clear. Don't add anything else, just the free and clear. Use corn starch to keep the areas dry in the day. Use a sock or something to dust the areas and dust the socks he is going to wear when he puts shoes on. Other times, let the areas get air as much as possible. Get a bottle of Betadine Dou_h_(They blank the word when I spell it, but it is in the feminine dept), don't get the premix, buy the one you mix yourself. More for your money and won't bother the groin area. He can soak his feet in it in warm water  and use a cloth to saturate the loin area. Use the Betadine for atleast 5 days after it clears up. That is an iodine solution so I hope that he is not allergic to iodine, because I have found it to be the best. It will kill any bacteria and is great for healing. If he can do that atleast 3 times a day would be good, but if he prefers to use it more, it won't hurt. That is why I said to go the femine solution. Do not use any Baby Powder for dryness, use corn starch, and plenty of air. Baby Powder holds wetness. Be sure to use white cotten socks and underwear and wash in the free and clear before wearing. Also, wash all other clothing with the free and clear before wearing. Sweat will make dyes etc go through to the skin. I would use a spray for fungus for the shoes and let dry, atleast overnite. It is best to not wear tight fitting shoes. See if this does any good. If it does, it is an allergy. If not, then let me know. You can email me. RJ
