Persistent armpit rash or something

I have some sort of patchy rash in my armpits.  I've been to a few different doctors and was given Ketoderm cream which I used for a few weeks with little result and was then given Hyderm cream which has had little result either.  I've tried not shaving, I've tried not wearing deoderant, I've tried washing the area several times a day to  keep bacteria from growing but it doesn't help.  Most of the time I don't notice it anymore(it still itches but I try to ignore it mostly) but its very very ugly and I've never had anything like this before and don't know what to do now!

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.  I will try the things you've suggested and if for some reason they don't work I will see a dermatologist.
Thanks again and I'll update next week

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to intertrigo skin. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching please take some over the counter antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
