Itchy rash appearing on leg when scratched or itched

Basically on my left hip I have minor ringworm which I am treating with pure tea tree oil (not sure if relevant). On my right upper leg on the outside I keep getting super itchy and when I do itch that particular area a fairly large red patch appears, however a minute or two of not itching or rubbing it will make it slowly vanish. From what I can tell its not raised, there is the odd little bump in my skin but nothing too alarming. I have no allergies but I do suffer from sinusitus. Any ideas what this could be? I've only noticed how red it was today, however I have felt this itching sensation in the same place before.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Such a rash that is itchy and which appears and disappears is due to urticarial patch. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.

For mild-moderate symptoms a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). But they are available under prescription and should be taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
