What's on my nose?

For the past 3 weeks, I have been dealing with a spot on my nose.  It started out like a large pimple, but never developed any pus or a head.  It came on suddenly.  Being a veterinarian, I thought maybe I had picked up ringworm, so I applied some OTC antifungal cream.  Can't say for sure whether that helped or not, because I also at various times applied hydrocortisone and triple antibiotic ointment.  It seemed to flatten out and get smaller, then got bigger seemingly overnight again.  Now it is very thickened and firmer, with more redness.  It does not hurt and only itches occasionally.  I have an appointment with a dermatologist, but I can't get in until two weeks from now.  Any ideas?

Primary cutaneous B-cell lymphoma (PCBCL) has only recently been recognized as a distinct clinical entity.Dissemination to internal organs is rare. Five-year survival rates typically range from 89% to 96%.PCBCL is highly responsive to radiation therapy.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
As discussed earlier, apart from ruling out the skin conditions mentioned earlier, stop applying the steroid cream and apply the topical antifungal cream only. If symptoms persist then consult a dermatologist and get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings done.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Animal fungi (Zoophilic) on the human skin give a flaring reaction. Also hydrocortisone would worsen it further (Tinea incognitio). Apart from this rarer causes like cutaneous sarcoidosis and lupus vulgaris (Unlikely to occur in so short a time) would be differential diagnosis.
