Have you heard about PIGMENTUM? its a vitiligo treatent that is supposed to work... but who knows it could be a scam. ;(
i am 19 yrs old teen boy. i am residing in Chennai. i am suffering from vitiligo for the past 4 yrs and i have taken all kind of treatments. now i am undergoing homiopathic treatment for 6 months. i feel no difference. the white patch is there only on my face n no where else. thankfully it is not spreading. but being a teen boy i feel it embarrassing. can i continue my treatment or do i have to change my clinic or do i have to switch to alopathy?
please help me to come out of this problem.
thank u all in advance...
Be cautious of expensive treatments! I have had Vitiligo for 25 years, since age 4. I have found nothing except time that helps. I have noticed great improvement for my vitiligo over the years. I tried a lot of different treatments, to no help, and finally decided to stop.
People, especially Doctors would probably disagree but I do not stay out of the sun and I honestly believe that this has contributed. Every summer I have noticed that a little more of my pigment has come back.
Naturally this is over lots of years. Not sure how much you have or how long you have had it.

Hi,
It would be best to consult a skin specialist and decide about the plan of management in your case according to the sites of involvement and extent of involvement.
'The main goal of treating vitiligo is to improve appearance. Therapy for vitiligo takes a long time—it usually must be continued for 6 to 18 months.
Current treatment options for vitiligo include medical - topical steroid therapy , oral and topical psoralen photochemotherapy and depigmentation using hydroquinone; surgical-autologous skin grafts and micropigmentation, and adjunctive therapies- sunscreens and cosmetic products.'
