Well i have something similar like yours and for six months i couldnt find what it was untill now. My rashes look red when they first appear and when i scratch them they turn white. It all started in Feb 2008 when i woke up with swelling eyes and my upper lip and got rashes everywere in my skin. The swelling of eyes and upper lip only happened to me twice in 6 months but the rashes still keep going. 2 weeks ago from now ive had my last swollen lips and eyes so i went to check with my doctor again. this time they do some pop analyses and guess what a PARASITE does this alergy to me so you should check, most likely you got PARASITES buddy. The medication tastes really bad though but i wona get rid of this parasites and it takes about 1 - 2 weeks for them to all get poisened by the medicine.

Hi,
Itchy rash which has a history of appearing on and off is usually due to an allergic reaction.

The pathological reaction that takes place on your skin due to foreign particles is considered as allergy rash.
When an irritant comes into contact with your body, your immune system sends chemicals, mainly histamine, to fight it. The sudden spike in histamine levels can cause an outbreak of rash in the upper layers of the skin.

It presents as itchy and swollen bumps or red patches all over the body. Cosmetics are one of the most common triggers. Most of the cosmetics are made with harmful chemicals, which are capable of showing adverse effects on your skin.
So always try to use natural, hypoallergenic and pH balanced cosmetics, especially when you switch brands, in order to avoid allergy rashes.

You can take anti-histamines like Cetrizine/Loratidine to treat the rash. Also apply Calamine or Pramoxine lotion on the affected areas to get relief from the itchy sensation.
I would recommend that you discontinue usage of the new brand of soap and revert back to the previous one, after the rash has subsided.
For now, you can wash your face with plain cold water.
