does birth control help regulate blood sugr in type 1 diabetics?

You should consult your doctor prior to taking birth controls especiall that you have type 1 dm because it might affect your sugar levels. What I know and believe... birth controls makes sugar level high...

Hello.

Yes, it can help in that it can dampen the hormone swings that happen in a normal cycle.  This may be useful if you are having trouble controlling your sugars due to your cycle.

No, in that the BCP can itself raise blood sugars.  If you go on the pill you may need to further increase your insulin doses.
