Symptons of dizziness

I am wondering if my 15yo son's symptoms which began recently could be diabetes.  Initially I thought of epilepsy but now not so sure.  He had an inital seizure a few weeks ago after a night with no sleep.  He said he felt weird, his eyes rolled back and he began to convulse.  Not sure how long that lasted.  Since then he has been fine till yesterday and today he has said he felt dizzy and thought he may be going to have a seizure again.  Today he said he felt "drunk" and then he ate his sandwich and he was ok.  He is otherwise a healthy slim energetic teenager who doesn't eat a very healthy diet.  Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.  I haven't taken him to the doctor as yet but think I should now.

This sounds like epilepsy come back and tell me if I'm right. You don't go convulsive on a diabetic onset usually always extreme cases comatose and that's what this sounds like extreme. Diabetes is very slow progression in early ages not causing extreme low blood sugars read extensive materials if you love him. I hope I could help.

Hello.  I'm not a medical professional, just the parent of a kid with diabetes.  Your son's symptoms sound more like hypoglycemia than diabetes.  That is a condition where someone's blood sugars drop too low for whatever reason, and it's different from diabetes in both cause and treatment.  I would request to your doctor to get a hypoglycemia check done.  Good luck.
