If your insurance will cover a CGM this can be a great idea. What it will do is tell you if you are going up or going down and the approximate nos and then you can take action early.
It doesn't replace finger stick testing and you have to calibrate it.
Keep monitoring closely, and I have to emphasise the low carb diet can be really helpful in preventing highs (needing corrections and going low). Everything can change very quickly in pregnancy.
Yeah ive been doing both and even just taking enough insulin for what i eat and to cover my sugars it stays wacky. Im thinking about getting a CGM but i dont know anyone that can tell me how well it works or doesnt.
Eating a lower carb diet may be helpful to better control, as it means you don't need to take so much insulin.
Also testing really frequently is helpful so you can catch highs and lows early and do something about them before they go too high or too low.
