Feverish, Body pain and tingling in head

Hallo Experts,

Reaching out to you for guidance on the problems being faced by my 50 year old mother.

She suffers from less blood circulation related neurology problems and has been diagnosed with Diabetes very recently. A top Neurosurgeon Doctor from my city says that she must loose weight for blood to flow properly.

She complains of feeling being feverish, body pains, weakness in body and pain on the left side of her head.

I understood from GOOGLE that it can be neuropathy problem. Can someone throw light on this and share your thoughts/experiences, please?

Would really appreciate!

Thanks,
Noor.

Hi Noor,

Following are the books:-

1. Diabetes Solutions by Dr. Richard Bernstein (this one recommends very low carb but gives excellent info and tools for management), it is quite complex though.

2. Think Like a Pancreas by Gary Scheiner
3. Using Insulin by John Walsh

All are available on amazon.

Hello Noor,

welcome.  The most important thing for your mother to do now is to get excellent control of her blood sugar.  This will prevent (can heal) neuropathy if she has it and also help with circulation.

To control blood sugars she should work with her doctor for meds (what meds is she on?), eat low carbohydrate diet, and take up daily exercise of at least 30 minutes (more if she can).

We can recommend some good books if these would be of use.  There is alos plenty of online information about lower carb diets for diabetes management.

hope your mother feels better soon.
