Is it possible to have low blood sujgars & still feel asif you have too high or too low??

Hi, I have been taken off of metformin, after developing jerking and shaking I believe was due to a generic med of seroquel.They said my blood sugar is under great control. I was sent to a neuroligist who said meformin wouldn't cause those symtons. I still think I should be on it, or something else. Even though my low blood sugars, I quite frequently havd cold clammy shaky and just down right lousy and feel so tired and have no engery. It seems to help if I continue to eat something like an orange, or grape juice, or other fruits, eggs bread, and etc. Funny thing is I must force my self to eat these foods, to come out of this feeling!!  Is it possible I could have another form of diabetis, which causes my blood sugars to stay low, but if I can't eat, makes me worst I have started taking some left over metformin, and when I do, it seems to help me feel better. Yet I have to consatntly eat, so I won't feel worse, yet when I do, I feel like I am plumb full, and then some!!  Is here anything you can tell m that would help me somehow?? I appreciate your time, and patience!! THANKS,PAT DICUS!!!

This discussion is related to please help !! low symptoms with normal blood sugar??.

Yeah, I agree with Zoelulu, your post is confusing and forced me to reread it several times to figure out what you were saying. On this note, I can say this much;
1.) Relying on medication - "I still think I should be on it, or something else." -   to cure your health issues is the wrong approach.
2.) Don't take medication against doctors orders. Taking leftover meds is a no-no.
3.) Your symptoms point towards Hypoglycemia and taking Metformin will do more harm than good. Google Hypoglycemia, read and understand how to take control of it.

Then
1.) Get a diabtetes A1c test from another doctor.
2.) See a specialist on Bipolar disorders.
3.) See a Nutritionist and/or a Dietitian for your eating disorder.
Don't mix these diseases together and treat them individually.

Your post is a little bit confusing, patty. Was it clear which medication they thought caused the side effects? But most important, you say your blood sugar is "under great control", but then you refer to your "low blood sugars."Which is it? Do you test at home? This would give you much better information as to whether you are actually too low and how the food affects it. It certainly does sound as if you still have diabetes symptoms and they are not under control. Most of all I would suggest that rather than just taking leftover metformin and struggling with food and blood sugar, I would return to a doctor and have him assess what is going on. Also I suggest a diabetic educator or a dietician who can help you plan your diet and exercise for a bit more balance.
