Any loss of consciousness requires an immediate visit to an emergency room for an evaluation. Not an appointment with a physician.

It could be a petit mal seizure, or maybe the person simply went to sleep. With this information it is impossible to speculate.

If it happens again, the drill is to call 911.

Hi,

this sounds very serious and we can't possibly know what caused it, though uncontrolled diabetes can cause loss of consciousness.  However this could also be a stroke or something else.

I think you need to go to your doctor immediately, explain what happened and get properly checked out.

I assume that you're feeling ok now.  But if not, call an ambulance or get someone to take you to the emergency room.

Do you know
