Like msniki said, keeping the weight off. As I "come in for a landing" (translation: NEARING MY GOAL!!!), I need to keep it off this time. I certainly believe there are psychological reasons why I have not kept my weight off in the past. As all my friends in this community can attest, I can maintain a certain *above* my goal just fine, thank you!
As most everyone knows, I battle with thyroid issues and because of that, have been unable to lose any weight. I've never had a problem with my weight before this and really tend to get frustrated with it.
I've tried diet/exercise, food journal, etc and so far nothing is making a difference. I was recently put on a new thyroid med and though I initially lost a couple of pounds, it didn't last and now the weight isn't budging again.
I wear a pedometer every day and during my work day I normally put on 3-5 miles; then when I get home in the evening, I do another couple of miles. There are some days recently when I've walked as much as 10 miles and no weight loss. I also work out on Wii Fit, My Fitness Coach, and of course, yoga.
I know there's no "quick fix" and I don't expect that anyway - I'd just like to see some progress.
Well, for one thing I would love to know more on how to mantain your weight after you lose all the pounds that are needed. I'm still off my goal by about 100lbs, but hoping to be there next year.
Thanks!
