Schadzsky's ring?

I was recently diagnosed with this condition, but cannot seem to find anything on it on the Internet.

Does anyone have any experience/information on it?

I appreciate your input.

I am a 62 year old ,female  and have a old injury to my 5 tru 8 crevical  area ,since 1972,when i injured this area by falling off a porch  railing ,a 7 '1/2 ft. drop . since tat time I have had many problems one of those problems is Sapams ofthe,Esophagus
Also the  please note that injury to the --C-7--causes problems  with the Thyriod gland bursae in the shoulders ,elbows .
C- 8 ,to thoritic 1 -affects Arms from elbows  down ,including the hands  wrists and fingers ;(esophagus and trachea)
The medical profession took from  1971 to 1986  to determine I had a cervical problem due to my loseing the use of my arms, when I developed excurting pain in both my arms and spasm in chest also tremor in right hand ,at that time it was determined I should be checked for cervical problems.
This was when MY CEVICAL PROBLEM WAS DIAGINOSIED <  AND HAS EXPLAINED  WH I HAVE MANY OF MY SYMPTOMS<TO PRESENT TIME>

My present Doctor , has done how many Sebstin Stess, echo grams ,doppler blood fl tests  ect.  on me tru the years ,the last in Feb. 20000 they  always come back ,negative.

Now since June 11th after sustaining a severe >Whiplash in a rear end collision all my old symptoms have surfaced again , to a greater degree ,on a scale of previous of 1to 2 now 5 to 6 with neck pain arm pain, elbow pain - pain between Hi shoulder AND Low shoulder blade area , Chest pan ,

Trouble swallowing FEELS LIKE I HAVE A MARBEL IN MY TROAT  WHEN I SWALLOW,this extends to my breast bone and radiates across both sides of my chest, extendes to the first or second rib area ,then in to my stomach makeing ,with slight heart burn feeling , also ment to mention this also radites in to my right Jaw area.

I just on  June-29th . had a MRI> done of my cervical area ,RESULTS NOT CONFIRMED AT THIS DATE <
If any who post on this Formatt , have in the past had Cervical injury it would be wiseto pursue this  problem in determinig  the esophagus PROBLEM>
I find the medical professon is not to (Hip) relateing other internal problems with  Back problems.whch most times are  the root of our problems ,If tere is a Doctor on this Formatt I wold welcome your opinion.
note;C-5 affects ,(Vocal cords ,neck glands ,pharynx.
C-6 affects ,(Neck muscles ,shoulders ,tonsils,
C-7 affects ,(Thyrod gland ,bursae in the shoulder, elbows .
C-8 tru T-1 (Arms from elbows  down ,includeing the hands  wrists and fingers ;esophagus and trachea.

Reply to Christy about the chest pain.  Any chest pain should not
be ignored.  My mother went through two angioplasty and the last
one, they about lost her.  They said it was not her heart.  Well
it wasn't it was three blockages.  The first hospital blew it out
and put in a stint.  Well, needless to say it failed.  Finally
after my sister insisted that there was something wrong, they
finally got to the right hospital and found it.  She had open heart surgery and corrected it with a triple by pass. If it wouldn't have been for this she could have had a massive heart attack. She was in excellant health.  This is artery disease. No matter how she ate or excersized this still would have happened. It is hereditary.  Be careful and don't give up.  If you are having chest pain, go to a cardiologist and if that doctor blows you off go to another.  It may save your life.  Luckily my mother had no heart damage.  Do not make light of angina attacks. Read as much as you can about them.  Then get to a cardiologist that LISTENS!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOODLUCK.

A 3 MONTH VACATION? I HAVE ABOUT GIVEN UP ON THIS WEBSITE, AND I SEE OTHERS HAVE ALSO. IT'S PRETTY REDICULOUS THAT IT HAS GONE ON THIS LONG WITHOUT A NOTICE OR EXPLAINATION. I DON'T THINK ANYONE WILL CARE IF THEIR QUESTION IS ANSWERED NOW, CHANCES ARE THEIR PROBLEM NO LONGER EXISTS!

My husband was told he had a shadsky's ring that required many visits to the Doctor to be stretched with an instrument that was very hard to swallow and really only helped him a short while. I had a similar problem with swallowing and Prilosec was the answer to my problem. If I miss one day, tho' it's back.

A hiatal hernia can cause chest pain and pain in the shoulders and arms. The Vagus nerve runs along the stomach, esophagus and the heart. It causes the pain in the shoulder and arm like with a heart attack. When the hiatal hernia is acting up, it can cause the same sypmtoms of a heart attack. Your cardiologist has ruled out heart disease. Extra heart beats are harmless. You probably are experiencing acid reflux even though the endoscopy didn't show it. You probably weren't having reflux at the time of the test. The prilosec should help. If it doesn't, there is surgery to correct the problem. Talk to your Gastroenterologist. Good luck!    Erik
