Blood coming out of my dogs abdomen

I do not know if this is the right place to post this.. But my dog has been sick all night..
I saw a pig puddle of blood outside and I knew what was happening since two of my other dogs have
died like this..This started around 8-9pm yesterday, I have been with him the whole time. Our other
dogs did not last this long.. I know he will die but.. I would like to know why this is happening to
my dogs.. It is not parvo. He and our other dogs had their shots. When he tries to use the bathroom
only blood comes out, and he has spit up blood about two times.. Right now he is barely breathing..
I would just like to know if you know what is wrong or if you have any ideas what might be wrong..

Hi Jacob, I am Aggieone

I have read all the comments,   I wonder if you have a neighbor who is anti-pets.   I am impressed that you took the time to try to get some help from this wonderful site.  Seems to me like you are a fine and a responsible sixteen year old with a lot on his shoulders.  Continue to let us know what is going on with you as I can tell you from my own experience with this site:  These friends do care.  Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Aggieone

Okay, I will find out. And we are going to take all our dogs in on a regular basis. We have insurance for our dogs now so everything should be okay now.

You sound like a great kid...best to you.  Please try to find out how the other dog in the neighborhood died.  It may have been poisoning...If it was similar, please notify the local police.  At least you know that your other dog is in peace now.  I know that you gave your dog all the comfort possible in his last days.  Please post back and let us know how things are going...Take good care of that puppy and get him to the vet on a regular basis!

I am 16. I was thinking maybe it was just hereditary disease (or whatever it's called) after the first two dogs had died but this dog was not apart of the same family. This one died.. but it was better then how the others had died. And we have two other dogs that are perfectly fine and a puppy, which is the son of the one that had just died, we were going to sell him before we even knew this one was going to die.. but we are keeping it because it is his son. One of our neighbors dogs had died too but I don't know why so I wouldn't know if it was the same as ours. But a lot of our other neighbors have dogs and they are fine. We are going to take our dogs in more now just to make sure everything is okay.

Jacob,

Do you have any more dogs?  How is the one that is suffering now?  Did he die or is he doing better or the same?  Has mom been able to get him to a vet or a clinic or even the local shelter for some care?  I hope this dog is not suffering anymore...I know that you care and are doing all you can.  How old are YOU?

How many other dogs are still in your home?  It sounds so odd that they are all dying of the same thing.  Are they all related?  Maybe a hereditary condition?

And to answer the question of when the other dogs died, they died in 2006. We had one of them for 6 years and the other one was his son which was going to be 3.. We had moved here in January of 2006 and and month later the 6 year old dog died.. and in September almost 3 year old dog died..

I wanted my mom to take him in to be put him to sleep, but all places were closed as i said, so we could not take him. And it would not be my dad, he is NEVER here and when is he here all he does is sleep and does what ever and leaves again. And about the poison and other things they could have got into.. There is nothing laying around like that. I would always suspect our neighbors of being why they died but I don't want to confront them because it may not be them. My mom called every place she could find. All were closed and it costs around 100 just to take them in to be checked, and more for whatever the animal needs to get better.

TAKE YOUR POOR DOG SOMEPLACE. IT IS NOT HIS FAULT HOW CAN YOUR FAMILY WATCH THIS POOR DOG SUFFER?? TELL YOUR MOM NOT TO GET ANYMORE DOGS IT IS MEAN. OUR DOG MEANS AS MUCH TO US AS OUR CHILDREN.

I apologize if I came across rude. I am sorry about your family situation. I agree with the above posters, maybe you can contact the humane society or spca. You can do it confidentially, if you don't want your family to know.

Yes, if nothing else you can take a dying dog to an animal shelter to be put down instead of letting them die a horrible death.  Many will take care of that free of charge, or at a greatly reduced charged.  My own vet charges just $30 for euthanasia.

Jacob, you sound very young and I apologize for my earlier remarks.  From your initial post, we all assumed you were the responsible party.  In a way that's true: you appear to be the one person in your family at least trying to figure this thing out, and for that I applaud you.

I agree with Suzi that it sounds like your dogs were either poisoned by someone else or they got into a toxic substance around your home.  Is there any chance they could have gotten into any antifreeze?  Rat poison?  Since you've lost 3 dogs so quickly and under very suspcious circumstances, you really should report it to your local police.  If your mom has a lot of dogs on your property, is it possible someone nearby objects to their presence?  I know this sounds awful, but is it possible your "deadbeat dad" may have killed them?

When did the other dogs die?  Did this all happen NOW or over weeks or months?  It sounds like that they are being poisoned..maybe by a detergent that is being used?  Do they have any access to things that are poisonous?  Maybe they have a virus/infection that is going around...you NEED to get that dog and the others to the vet...call your local animal shelter...do SOMETHING.  I know you are trying to help, but I feel that it is very irresponsible of your family to have pets if they are not able to care for them properly.  How many more dogs do you have?  There are emergency vet services that are also 24 hours...also, many vets will give you a payment plan option...By doing NOTHING you are doing a disservice to these poor animals.  If you feel your family is unable to care for them, please call your local SPCA and tell them of your situation and you may have to turn the dogs over to them...it would be in there best interest.

Plus, even if we DID have the money. All of the places we called were closed. And I do not choose to have dogs, My mom does.So don't try and tell me to get rid of them. We are getting insurance for our other dogs, my mom did not know she could get it. And it is not our fault this happens, this has only happened at this house. And it is not like we never have any money, not everyone has money at all times you know. And maybe if my deadbeat dad would go work for once instead of saying how many times hes payed the bills and now wants my mom to work when she has a bad back and can't work anymore. Yeah, this is going off topic but this is the reason why we don't have much money all the time. And before you say "But what about the other dogs? You let them die too?" well, when they were like this it was also night and places were closed. They died faster than he did. They did not last long. So even if we could have took them for help, they would have died on the way. So.. yeah.

Then you shouldn't have dogs! If you have anymore dogs, please do them a favor and find them a new home with people who are willing to take care of them. Your abusing them by not giving them the care they need.
