Can somebody tell me what breed of dog she is?

I've gotten a dog from a lady who rescued her. They told me that Baby was a chihuahua/ german shepard mix. I'm thinking she might be a Denmark Feist or something along those lines because she seems to have no chi/shepard in her at all. Any help?

She's 4 months old in this picture i recently got my computer formated so i need to find the other picture

Dang it!  I posted too soon, and when I went to add to my post my comuter locked up and I had to go out and come in again!  LOL

I wanted to add a bit about feists.  Feists are basically mixed breed dogs that have been bred by individual families for their superior scenting ability for hunting squirrels and other small animals.  Each "breed" of feist is named for the family that breeds them, so there's really not a recognized breed of dog called a "feist" other than the Treeing Feist, which is recognized as an acual breed by, I believe, the United Kennel Club.  Because the scenting ability is what is all-important, and not the outward appearance of the dogs themselves, the phenotype (actual physical appearance) of the individuals even within a single litter can vary wildly, so my point is nobody can look at a dog and say with any degree of certainty "that's a feist" unless they know the family who owns or bred it.

I still agree with Red and think that Baby very strongly resembles a shepherd/chow cross.  I think she has a very pretty face!

I don't know of any terriers that look like chihuahuas  I agree with Red, my guess would be shepherd/chow mix.  She's a very cute puppy, whatever she is!

actually her nails are lighter they're not black. but the thing that I was reading fiests look a bit like a terrier, and they're pretty rare if that was the case that she's a Denmark Fiest, because she has the stance of a Denmark Feist and the bark, couldn't the previous owners have been confused, a terrier type dog and chihuhua do look a lot a like.

Also...Could you please let me know if you painted her nails black or they are naturally black? I also want to know if there is any black on her tounge. A black tounge is very dominant gene in the Chow.

Thanks.

Well a Chihuahua was definitely NOT involved in this birth, that I am sure of. Looking at her facial features I would say a Shepherd/Chow Mix.

Chow-Chow's have heavy bushy coats, and I notice that "Baby's" coat does stick straight up a bit around her head. Her face also has characteristics of the Chow.

I am going with the Shepherd/Chow Mix.

Let me know if I win the prize. lol

I sure hope the Mama that had the puppies was the Shepard and not a Chihuahua giving birth to shepard pups!!!!!!

Hi, I copied and pasted the link you gave us, but it didn't come up with anything (that of course might be my temperamental computer's fault....or my ineptitude!) Can you upload the photo to your Med Help page? If you go to your "My profile", you can upload photos there, from pictures on your computer.

A Chihuahua cross German Shepherd....:-0 !!  Well, they do say where there's a will there's a way! But one of them must have needed step-ladders while the work was in progress!!
