Diahreah

So I am a new mom of 3 wonderful puppies (just got them)
***Dante who is a Yorkshire 6 month pee is a dark yellow is that normal?
I been giving him a lot of water, still dark yellow
***Snowy who is a west highland 3 months had diarrhea I gave him some Pepto-Bismol 4 days ago and now his stool (poop) is green and pasty going on 2 days. Anyone know what causes green poop what should I do.
***Kozita is a Yorkshire who is 2 months old, it seems she ate some of Dante’s food and now has a soft stool, when this happens how many days should the puppy have a soft stomach?

All puppies are still active and act as normal
(we got them used to the Kennel and stop crying at night)

Congrats on your three new arrivals!  Since they all came from the same place, and since they all broke with diarrhea at about the same time, I would take a poo sample to the vet so that they can do a fecal examination.  What were the conditions like where you got them?  Sometimes puppies develop a condition called coccidiosis, which causes them to develop diarrhea.

Coccidiosis is often associated with unclean conditions, that's why I asked what the conditions were like where you got them.  However, sometimes even puppies from a clean kennel will develop it.  Coccidia is a bacteria that is present in the gut of all living things, even humans have them as a normal  part of the gut.  However, sometimes, when puppies are being weaned and are switching over from the diet of mother's milk to solid food, these bacteria begin to multiply too quickly and they overtake the puppy's system.  The result is coccidiosis, which causes some very bad-smelling (not that any of it is GOOD smelling) diarrhea.  The thing to watch out for is dehydration, since puppies are small and can become dehydrated quickly, and ESPECIALLY in the case of your little ones because they are all toy breeds and even tinier than most puppies.

The very dark urine on the one puppy sounds to me like he isn't getting enough fluids.  Very dark urine means it's very concentrated, but you say he's drinking a lot of water.  I would definitely have the vet check this out to see if this is normal for this puppy or if there might be something going on regarding kidney function.  Chances are it's just normal for him, but better to be on the safe side.

Definitely bring the condition of all three of these puppies to the attention of your vet, though, since diarrhea in toy breed puppies can get out of hand and become dangerous very quickly because of their very small size.  Please post and let us know how they continue to do.

Noooo.... don't feel like a bad mom!  You really don't know the conditions they were in previously.  All you can be responsible for is their health from the time you got them.  Just take them all to your vet for a thorough baseline exam and take it from there.  That's all any of us can do.  :-)

Any time a puppy or a dog is subject to an abrupt diet change you can expect some gastrointestinal changes.  Give them a couple of weeks on the same diet and see if the symptoms calm down.  Of course, you shoud always bring new additions to the family to your vet for intitial evaluation and ensure they are up to date on vaccinations.  Exactly how long have you had them with you?  And congratulations on adopting three pups!  :-)
