Husky mix and Puggle (both a year old) with Potty Training Problems

Hi I am new here and I am almost to my wits end with my dogs. We got a dog from a Puggle (beagle+pug) breeder last years and he just had his birthday on March 29th (1 year old) and a Husky mix that we rescued from a shelter here in Las Vegas about 2 months ago and she is also to be estimated to be at 1 year old... Both have been fixed and we are having a terrible time getting them house trained. I have tried everything to fix this problem. We live in a condo and will be moving sometime between June and August to a house with a 6 foot cement wall around the backyard. Until that time, is there anything that we could do to deflect the accidents that they have both been having in the house? The condo that we are staying in has the CHEAPEST carpet on the planet and I have tried every spray and oxyclean to get the dog stains out of the carpet to no avail. We will be doing a steam cleaning after we move out our furniture... Any suggestions would be seriously helpful!

Crate trainig is a really good way of house breaking.Find some type of treat that they really like and when you take them out to go potty then give them a treat then after they have went out and used the bathroom then let them run around inside and play for a little while and the take them out again and when you come back in tell them to kennel for a treat and then kennel them for a little awhile. You will have to stay with this routine for a few weeks,But it will sink into them what they eed to do where. Also Natures miracle works really well for the stains on your carpet.Where ever they have an accident you can spray it and it removes the enzyems from urine. You will need to blot up as much of the waste as you can and then spray it. It helps where they cant smell an area where they already went and they think that its ok to go there .Well Good Luck.Keep us posted.

Are they crate trained for when your not home?  I've never tried it, but I hear it works great.  I would take them outside for potty breaks even if they don't seem to have to go, and always take them to the same spot they've already peed on, when one of our dogs peed the other had to pee right on top of it.  Give them A LOT of praise when they do go outside.  Good Luck.
