need help

my chihuahua was bitten on the lt side on his head by a german shepard shouldnt the vet have taken an xray rather than just looking at him? This happened sunday and he has made some improvements but not much and i really havent gotten much from this vet hospital as there has been several vets looking after him,just mostly this is a day today deal and its up to the dog to pull throu this!

It's my opinion that an x-ray would be a good thing. Have you asked the vets why they haven't done an x-ray? There might be a reason....I don't know for sure.
I know what you mean, When there are so many different vets on his case, it makes you wonder about the 1 to 1 care he's getting. Probably ok, but like seanna said, if you feel iffy about this, you do have an option of consulting a different vet. I know that might be a little difficult as he is hospitalized, but maybe you could call another vet for some advice? You might even be able to get your vet to make a referral to a specialist hospital somewhere...?

Hi if your little chap has not improved all that much and you are worried go to another Vet. I hope they gave him a tetnus shot.
There could be an infection brewing and he might need a course of antibiotics.
