dog off her food

Hi there.  I have an 18 month old shih tzu who is normally very food orientated.  I put her a plate of chicken and veg down last night and she wouldn't go near it - this is not like her at all.  I tried to tempt her with my toast this morning and still no interest.  She isn't even eating her treats which is very unusual.  As this only started last night I don't know whether to give her today to see if she perks up or if I need to take her to the vet?  I have given her some ham which she did eat - but she doesn't seem herself and it's worrying me!  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

well she ate some chicken and rice at lunchtime - but I gave her some more chicken and rice for her tea and she's not interested.  She seems better in herself than she was earlier - but it does worry me that she isn't interested in her food.  I have done some reading and have read that dogs can go off there food for upto 3 days without any cause for concern?

I would call the vet. Did she get hold of any halloween candy or something she shouldnt have? I would take her off all food except maybe some browned hamburger with rice, or even some chicken noodle soup broth until you talk to the vet, and just watch her.
