Looking for answers

My dog was only 8 months.  She was a golden lab full of energy and so smart.  She started throwing up and not eating.  This went on for two days and I was waiting on payday to get her to the vet.  I had the appointment made for last night but when I got home from work to pick her up she was dead.  There was blood everywhere!  I can tell the poor girl suffered and it breaks my heart.  My kids and I are devastated.  I can't imagine what could have done that to her so fast.  One day she is a playful puppy the next two days sick and now she is gone.  Any ideas?  The blood and the way she suffered at such a young age leaves me with so many questions as to why??  Any help would be appreciated

I do not know, but I doubt the cable insulation is poisonous, remember dogs and little kids (humans) can chew electrical wires, no one would provide anything that could could do that kind of damage.

But, it maybe something the dog ate, do you have an mouse or rat poison out? Are any laundry chemicals missing or look to be chewed on?

I don't know about parvo, but it seems to be a contagious disease,  a dog has to be exposed to it, it doesn't just happen.

Sorry too that you lost your dog and especially if the dog suffered.  If you get another dog you may want to consider starting to save in a jar a few dollars a week for emergencies like for a vet.  It may be the vet would not have been able to stop the killer, but one always wants to try.

Love you kids and be nice to dogs where ever you see them, in memory of your lost dog.

I don't have any other dogs.  How would she get this?  I have been racking my brain and was thinking last week I decided to leave her out of her kettle while I was at work.  Big mistake..she chewed up a lamp cord and also got into coax cables.  Could that have caused this??

Canine Parvo Virus can cause this.  If you have other dogs, they are likely to come down with it if they are young.  Cats and people do not get parvo.  I'm sorry this happened to your dog.  You should be made aware that the parvo virus can live in the ground where ever your dog has been for SEVEN years.  Hugs and blessings - Blu
