PUPPY DOG WITH SEVERE KIDNEY FAILURE

My husband and I have a 5kg puppy (5 months old) dog, with severe Kidney failure, that we found only two days ago.
Is it possible/convenient giving him Azodyl and Epakitin?
He is now doing a fluidtherapy, and we are hoping, after that, it will be possible use those products to mantain the results of this first treatment.
Thanks a lot for your help!

Hi, Connie!
Unhappily, these products are not sold in Brazil, where we live. After knowing about my puppy health condition, I did a lot of research on web, and found the name of these two products.
His vet has told us about Rubenal, which, I think, is discontinued in USA. Actually, he is now using this medicine (Rubenal), that was easily available here. We do not know yet the outcomes. Hopefully, on Wednesday, there will be news about it.
I'll sure check the website you mentioned. We love this dog as a son, and will do anything to help him.
Thank you so much,
Patricia

Hi,
I don't have any firsthand experience with these supplements, but I do know that many people on this forum have used these for their dogs with kidney insufficiency ( failure )
Take the information you have on Azodyl and Epakitin to you vet, so he knows that you want to use these. Hopefully he is familiar with them, and can guide you on their use.
I am so sorry to hear about your dog....I hope the kidney flush works wonders for him....He does have youth on his side.
When you have some free time, check out the website....

In it's health section, there is a section devoted to kidney failure/disease
It has loads of information you may find helpful.
Please keep in touch, and let us know how your dog is doing.
