Well, my oldest Dog, Lucky, is what we call a chicken dog....LOL He runs from everything. When it thunders I have to leave my closet door opened for him to hide, or he will try to get as close to me as he can. There is nothing more uncomfortable than a 40 lb dog on your lap pressing his body against yours as hard as he can....LOL... I remember he was walking accross the living room floor one time and saw the ceiling fan going and ducked...It was hilarious!!!!
How sweet! I love hearing "dog stories". They really make my day. Dogs are such wonderful creatures!
I just remembered another story. My previous dog, one day stole a marshmallow and I saw her take it outside and bury it. I just let it go, whatever. Well, a day or so later she went to get her treat and it was gone!! Bugs ate it! It was so funny, she looked so confused?? I gave her another one and she did the same thing. Buried it-then it "disappeared!!"
I love the greenie story. When I just had one dog, she would bury her cookies, greenies, etc in my houseplants! She was so delicate about it. She stopped as soon as I got another dog-she didn't want to risk losing her goods!!
What a cute idea. I love reading these stories.
My previous dog, Missy (a Pekinese) wasn't as spoiled as the current Fluffy Puppies, Bianca and Sorcha. She didn't even know what a Greenie was until many years into her life. We'd give her a greenie after dinner and sometimes she would eat it and sometimes she would hide it for later. After the cancer hit her, she would hide them more often than eat them.
After she passed away and we brought Bianca & Sorcha home, they would find the little greenies in sofa cushions, in the closet, in shoes...they got a little surprise and my mom and I cried each time at the reminder of Missy.
The god I had a few years ago (RIP BUDDY!) was a tiny long haired chihuahua named Gizmo. Sweetest dog ever. He would actually go around the house and pick up dirty socks for us. He would go and pick up one, then the other, then another pair..I think he could get up to like 6 in his mouth at once. Then he would come back and drop them in front of us. Like "pick up these socks people!" It was so cute watching him walk around and pick up all the socks off the floor. He didn't do it as much in his last couple years. He was old and started losing his teeth so he lost interest in it, but I will never forget him or the mental image of him with a mouth full of socks! :)
thats so funny! Oh btw, I meant to type "our" in my post title!! I didn't have my coffee yet!!
ps-my other 2 dogs do nothing also!!
That is so cute! My boy is the complete opposite of Titus. The other day, a moth (I think it was a moth) flew into my house and was fluttering around, making all kinds of noise when it would slam into something. I was trying to swat it, as my boy layed comfortably on the floor next to the sofa. The darn thing would fly into my face, and I would scream. Anyway, I glanced over to my boy who was watching the moth flutter around. I thought he would try to help me. NOPE! He got up and ran into his room which is down the hall. He waited in there until I got the moth. Wuss.
