Chihuahuagrandma gave you some good suggestions.
Our Siberian husky was a picky eater too and even lost weight. We bribed her by putting IAMS gravy on her food, changing dog food - everything. We took her to the vet - which is what I suggest you do with your dog - and it was a behavior thing. Your dog might be "testing" you. However, he should still go to the vet to see if anything is wrong before assuming that his not eating is a behavioral issue. If they find that everything is fine then maybe you and your vet can figure out a way of getting the dog to eat. Our husky finally stopped her picky eating habits when our Akita began eating her food.
Please let us know how you and your dog are doing.
lonewolf (and Miss Puff the former picky eater)
I type comment to ya, and quess it did not post, or it will post twice....
Does your dog have bowel movements, how often, what does stool look like?
Have you contacted your vet?
Something must be wrong if pet ponders over food, but chooses not to eat...
Or could this be only behavioral???
Please keep us posted on you and yours outcome, wish the best for you both,
and give a hug to the baby for me....
Stay in touch, and maybe others will post comments, and welcome to the site!!!
