Hi .. I have found so much information on here and stories I want to share mine.

3 years ago does not seem to have got any worse but cannot walk far.
Kia was diagnosed with Renal Disease 21 st May 2016 ..having peed and drank lots for 3 years and
had umpteen tests .
I cannot find the files to up load her results

Kia is eating reasonably well tho has lost 3 kilos since decemeber her current weight being 29 kg

She is on Ipakitan phosphours binder and Fortiker ? Ithink thats its name for high blood pressure which has come down

I was told two weeks ago by my vet that 99% of dogs with that level of Creatin he would have on a drip ..this set of fgures were taken in May .. but by June she had gone up to 5.5 creatin and after the binder and blood pressure two weeks later her stats were down to 4 on the creatin .. but she drinks lots and still wants cuddles and walks and asks for food.. so reading these stories I am wondering why is Kia different ( or isnt she)
I am feeding her Royal Canine kidney diet wet and dry (which I soak ) .. and homemade prep food .. I have bought some normal dog food and mixed it with the wet Royal canine as well as she was not eating .. this just got her to eat so now its homemade food from recipes I have found on forums .

I have been so upset reading how some of you lovely people have to syringe feed your dogs .. and I dread having to do that ..

I hope I am doing all I can for her.

I know I have read on here that you are not an advocate of the Ipakitn and I have read up on it and it does state its nutrional supplement as well as binder.. I am not sure whether to ask my vet for the other binder you recommend or see how she goes ?

I appreciate any comments or thoughts you may have in Kia's Care

Debbie
