anyone tell me whats going on?

my dog is acting strangly , he is 8 yrs old and is starting to get up very stiff, but today i noticed that his hips and the muscles on his lower back in front of the back legs is a little swollen and stiff, but today every once in a while he begins to tense up and cry , i dont know whats going on, he looks very shaky and nervous and in pain, anyone have any idea of whats goin on?
im going to get him to the vet monday, but my dad just left town and i have no way of doing so

Good for you!  Kudos for worrying enough about your pet to not make him wait!  You're a good doggie parent!

Please post back when you finish with the vet to let us know how he is doing.

yea i have stuck with him all night , im not about to loose this dog, im taking him to the vet tomarrow , my dad is going to make a deposit over the phone , i am sincerely worried  about this dog, ive taught him everything he knos, he can climb ladders, he will jump off bridges with me, he listens to commands the first time i say something, i love him to death

If he is in pain I would not take any chances.Find a way to get him to a vet tomorrow morning even if you have to go to an emergency hospital.Maybe a cab if you have no other way.Best to be safe than sorry!
