Have you taken her to the vet yet? If so, what did they say?
It is possible, at her age, that she may have contracted Parvo virus. This is very serious. Your dog will need immediate treatment, and there are other things you need to know if this happens to be the case, such as how to clean thoroughly, as the virus is very resistant.
Anyway -for now, of course it may not be Parvo. Only the vet can tell you if it is or it isn't. Now my dog had Parvo when she was much much younger, and she did survive, and has carried on to be a very fit active basically healthy dog. The important thing is it is VERY urgent to get her to the vet, most likely hospitalized, with IV fluids and antibiotics.

Take her as soon as you can, and if possible can you take a stool sample with you? This will help a lot for them to diagnose what might be wrong with her.

Try not to panic, just get her some help.
Let's hope this is just a very upset tummy and nothing more serious. Sometimes if dogs get at the trash, or eat something they shouldn't -like chocolate, they can have a very bad time of it. Had she eaten anything she shouldn't do you think?

hi ghilly, yes we took her to the vet, i didn't get this until today, sorry, now they think she just had a upset stomache, ate something she wasn't suppose to, causing her just wanting to relax and do nothing (and walked funny) just not to upset her stomache any furthur. but she was diagnosed with just diahorea? i think? i don't recall her eating anything unusual, although sometimes there can be some strange things outside.
since then my bordercollie lilly, has been well, apart from another incident of vomiting, when she moved, although it cleared up pretty quickly, also i think that was just a hair ball.
now that i think about it i did discover a tail of some sort of animal before she was sick so maybe that gave her the diahorea (dw she didnt kill it a fox is about our neighbourhood, found another animals guts and stomache before in our front yard and seen the fox a few occasions) also maybe the vomiting (hairy tail) anyway thanks so much for your response.
thanks GG X

Well I'm glad she's ok now.....hopefully anyway.

A year last summer my dog ate some nasty thing in a field (I think it was a bit of rotting crow!) she ate it so fast I didn't have time to stop her. She had diarrhea and vomited a couple of times afterwards. I was so worried about her but she was fine after 2 days.

ALWAYS the best thing to do with simple diarrhea and upset tummy is fast the dog completely - that means nothing except water, for 24 hours. Usually things start to settle down then.
Next day just feed a small amount (a handful or less) of plain boiled rice. Wait an hour or two. If that stays down, give some more, and every 2 hours. If the dog seems hungry and tummy seems settled by the end of that day, mix some plain boiled fish or chicken breast in with the rice. NOTHING else, except water...no kibble, no other meat, just the chicken/fish and rice. Usually by day 2 all is well again, and the normal diet can gradually be re-introduced.

I'm glad to hear that she's doing OK!  They will eat just the darndest things sometimes!  I had an Aussie 20 years ago who managed to catch and kill a squirrel in the yard one day.  I could not get it away from him!  He trotted juuuust far enough ahead of me so that I couldn't catch him, all the while SWALLOWING the stupid squirrel!  I watched it disappear down his throat as he was doing the trotting/looking to see if I was still trotting behind him thing and it was just THE grossest thing I have ever seen!  LOL!  I jogged after him trying to figure out what I was going to do if I did manage to catch up with him because I really didn't want to touch the thing, but I didn't want HIM to eat it, either!  I was gagging as I was following him and he was looking back and adjusting his pace so that he could stay away from me.  Today it is hilarious to think about it, but back then, not so much!  LOL!!  His bowels were loose for a couple of days afterward (what a surprise! LOL!)

Oh Ghilly! I can just imagine it! Total yuck! I think dogs sometimes think they are related to crocodiles......

Someone should have pointed out to him that Squirrel is a rare delicacy, to be savoured with some fava beans and a nice bottle of Chianti....
