Will keep my fingers crossed Rambo gets good results. (I love that name) It sounds like your vet is doing a good job, but I know what you mean about the dog hating to go to him, ours used to come back so drained from the Cushings tests.
Hi
Thanks for your reply, Rambo - does have good days and bad days some days he is like a spring lamb and you wouldnt know he was ill (apart from the physical look of him) and other days he really struggles to get up and down He likes to go for walks not too far (gets a bit wheezy) but he does cough and splutter a lot!
I suppose we will just have to take the vets advice again - he hates going to the vets and shakes all over - so I even feel mean taking him!
He eats alright (typical cushings)
Thanks again for your response
I don't have any good advice, I'd just like to say I think you've been doing a good job for 12 months with your dog on Vetoryl. Ours had Cushings, too, and her legs would get weak. On the bad days we had to carry her outside. She, too, would groan and breath very hard, and for some reason would lay against a wall with her head leaning on the wall. She only did it after she developed Cushings. It was strange. Does your dog still have a good appetite, like to go for walks or at least walk around inside the house, enjoy car rides, etc? Those things would be a sign that hes still happy, in my opinion. I wish you luck on the next blood test.
