kennel cough

I just adopted a dog from pound 3 days after being home she came down with kennel cough she is being treated with antibotics, my question is should I get rid of her chew bones? can she reinfest with the cough if her phlem is on them ?

I wonder, and I would ask a vet this, if you caould wash her plastic toys in the dish washer, and her soft toys in the washing machine, if this would hekp. Toys cost so much.
I had a dog that had that years ago, but I never got rid of her toys.She was fine. But please don't take my word....I was just thinking out loud. I am happy you adopted a dog. I did this last year for my mom and the dog has grown to be a very health playful dog.

Yes, all toys, bones,and things she chew on should be tossed out. Kennels, crates,and bowls should be disinfected and all her bedding should be washed. Especially if you have other dogs and also for her protection. Hope it clears up soon and she back to good health.
