Anal Gland Surgery Aftercare

My 4 yr old female beagle had her right anal gland removed on Tues 25/10/16. She had the surgery because the gland was abnormal and kept getting infected. Since the surgery, my beagle has been leaking normal poo. Shes on  medication (pain relief, antibotics etc) and taking fybogel (ispaghula).

Is the poo leakage normal during the healing process? It has been 5 days.

That should happen the first 7 days

Update - it has been 7 days and the faeces leakage is getting slightly better.

Has anyone had their dog's anal gland(s) removed and experienced poo leakage?

Thanks
