My dog is a beagle so he can sniff up anything on walks. We try to watch the sidewalks as much as possible, but he finds anything like chicken bones and eats it. My vet said it's really messing up his stomach and on a few instances we have had to take him in on an emergency.
I am thinking of putting a muzzle around his mouth when I walk him. Thing is he is already 9 years old, not sure if he will tolerate it.
Any advice? My pet store doesn't carry muzzles, they only carry the gentle ones that still allow the dog to open his mouth.
The issue is not a food one, we feed our dog Wellness core which is a good holistic dog food. We also had in canned and vegetables.
