this dose you stated in pretty low (NOT dangerously low tho). General dosing is 1-3 mg/pound given 2-3 times a day. It is most effective when given throughout the day rather than just one big dose once a day. Vets will always start as low as possible in dosing unless its an emergency situation. The reason for this low dose start is they want to give ONLY what is needed to be effective rather than giving more drugs than your pet really needs. Keep working with your vet and only give what they recommend at the time. (giving too much can be life threatening dangerous with this medication).
yes from a vet and for heart disease. reduce fluid in the chest. just trying to work out the right amount to give him. vet said had to work out right dose. trying best way to give to him and right amount to help him breath easier.
What are you giving him furosemide for? Where did you get the furosemide? Does your vet know you are treating your dog with this?
