up date on moms dog

My mom took her dog to the vet today.  He seemed to think she had a herniated disk.  I think he gave her an adjustment.  He gave her a shot for the pain and some pills to take later.  I'm assuming for the pain.  He also gave her a pure remedy as he is a homeopathic vet.

I still think he should of taken an x ray, but mom says he gave her back and spine a thorough examination.  I told my mom if she still whines after a few days she should get an x ray.

I still have concern here.  A "through examination" should include at the very least an x-ray - particularly if the vet is thinking the problem is related to a disc.  Just like human docs, there are good and bad animal docs.  Homeopathic medicine definitely has a place, but in my opinion, it should not be the only treatment.  If at at all possible, I hope you can convince your mom to consult with a vet who also focuses on western veterinary medicine.
