no pain or whatsoever, i just noticed that it is slightly unusual.

i smoke about 15 sticks a day, i have tonsilitis (inborn).

what could these be? i dont know if there are swollen lymph nodes or anything i can't feel any "swollen lymph nodes"

DrAnitha,

went to the ENT and the ENT told me it was only a muscle. But sometimes it would cause me some discomfort and would go away and go back again.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello and hope you are doing well.

If with the swelling you are getting pain it is likely to be an inflammation of the skin, subcutaneous tissue or the trachea. This can happen with injury, repetitive activity or an infection of the skin. It can also be an enlarged lymph node or an inflammation of the thyroid gland. I would advise you to consult your doctor, for proper evaluation of your symptoms. In the meantime for pain relief you can use OTC  tylenol (acetaminophen).

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
