Hello! I have just asked the MRI radiologist to send the result and found out that my left ear has mastoid. My previous ENT did not tell me of this and worse, he wrote in the report that he did give me an injection, which he didn't! I am wondering if this could be related to my ear pain problem and legally, what could be done about getting my money back as I had no real treatment at all! If he did give me the injection, then I would suppose it would be noted on my bill. Please advice to my email at ***@****.... I am currently seeing another ENT, so I hope he would give me some treatment.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
As the ear examination and the CT scan did not reveal any abnormality, the pain could be referred pain from the cervical spine as suggested by your doctor. For this try therapeutic exercises to rehabilitate the spine (consult your doctor before initiating this). Try applying local analgesic creams. Place ice over the painful area every 1-2hrs for pain relief. Use a cervical collar to support the spine. Ensure to get the correct size. You seem to be very anxious and in pain, take OTC pain medications like Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen, take these medications after food. Other non operative therapies are ultrasound application, spinal traction, transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation and spinal injections. I would advise you to discuss various options with your doctor and initiate the right therapy for relief from pain.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
