doctors gave up..desprate for an answer

can recurring sore throat that happens every 3 weeks be sign of anything serious? i have been to a doctor, done a blood test, have been tested for strep and mono and they all came back negative. Although the test was negative i was put on 3 different antibiotics for a month and yet i still get a sore throat every 3 weeks that lasts for few days. The sore throat is usually on one side of my throat. And i can tell when the sore throat is coming. My throat feels funny for two/three days before i get the sore throat. im 20 and i dont smoke so i dont think this is cancer.

****can recurrent, chronic sore throat be sign of anything serious?****

I have throat pain that comes and goes like that and is one sided, but hurts more atnight when I'm sleeping and goes away during the day,go to an ENT I am planning to go again because the first time they said it is from my post nasal drip but it is going on 2+ weeks I've had the pain now so I am going to ask for a scope down my throat. Good luck I wish I new what it could be as well.
