Burnt plastic smell after nosebleed that needed medical attention

I smell and taste burnt plastic. It smell toxic and gives me problems breating probably. It started after I got severe nosebleeds and they had to put adrenaline up my nose to try to stop it. A few days later I was putting on an organic Shea butter lip balm on my lips that I have loved the smell from and used for many years, but all of a sudden it smelled like burned plastic that made me want to vomit. Now 2 weeks later the mucus coming out of the nostril that was damaged has the same burnt smell. I was also treated with antibiotics for a sinus infection that I had gone with untreated for over a year and a half. I just did not tell. I also used Otrivin for about 15 years. I stoped after these horror bleededings when the pressure was so strong that blood came out of the eye on the bleeding side. I do not want to go back to the hospital or any doctors for my nose again. I feel that it is a weird question to ask them. What is this smell? Why do the mucus smell and taste like this now from that side of the nose?
