How can I establish a normal routine? Bulimarexica?

I cant quite seem to be any type of eating disorder consisently. For a couple of days I'll not eat at all, to where i'd be considered anorexic if i was underweight, and then for the next few days I won't have any control over what I'm eating- binging and purging. How can I stick to one routine? I do have some weight to lose, and I'm not going to be looking at any professional help anytime soon. Anyone have any tips on sticking to one routine? I know both anorexia and bulimia are bad independently, but having both of them together has got to be worse on the body, right?

Im trying to diagnose myself because i want to make myself wake up and realize that I have to stop. Im at the point right now where i know it's bad, but i cant stop and im afriad to tell anyone, even though i want to desperately. And yes, that did hit me as rude, especially when ive been having an off couple of days. I want to quit everything right now, and a harsh tone wont make anything any better.

Why are you trying to diagnose yourself? Do you WANT an eating disorder? Well you can have mine,  because I'm really sick of it. If you can't "stick to one," you most likely have EDNOS (eating disorder not otherwise specified).

Wait, no, please do not go to pro-anorexia websites. They are baaaaad news. Stay away from them. They suck people in and distort eating disorders. I would suggest staying as far away from them as possible. =)

No, I mean I am just a little confused maybe. So you are asking how to stick with one disorder right? That seems a little anti-recovery and I just wouldn't want to hinder your recovery, or help your eating disorder get worse. What I can say is that nobody's eating disorders are alike. Everybody seems to have different behaviors, and it's not like everybody just picks one or the other and sticks with it. My suggestion would be to maybe channel this in another direction. Maybe instead of trying to focus on one disorder or another, why not recovery as one of the options? And why not professional help? Not ready?

One more thought. If you go to the pro-anorexia websites, you will get a lot of bad advice about how to make your eating disorder worse. When you realize your health and emotional well-being are more important than being skinny, you can reach out and help will be there for you. I wish you the best.

Did you look under Overeater's Anonymous? If you could get to one meting, usually there are people there who will offer you rides. Also you can get help from County clinics or mental health agencies. If you really want help, you can get it, and when you are ready you will.

I looked in my phone book a while back, and could not find any OA. I wouldn't be able to get there even if there was, because i can't drive yet. this was probably the wrong place to ask my question.

You say you are not going to be getting professional help anytime soon. Why not? Shlee asks a good question. I'm afraid you are looking at one disorder as helpful to weight loss. That is exactly what your disorder tells you: the most important thing in the universe is to lose weight, at the expense of both your health and your emotional well-being. Get the help. If you can't afford professional help, start with OA. Look in your phonebook under Overeaters Anonymous. It doesn't get better if you don't get help.

i also have bulimerexcia. That's just what you have. You can't stick to one or the other, if you have both. I had bulimia, and then it turned into bulimerexica. There is no way to change it, although i do understand what your saying about haveing both at the same time as worse than having one or the other.
