Is this EBV

First I am giving my gi history becuase I have read that gastro problems are also part of EBV. I am a 48 year old woman. I have had problems with IBS symptoms for some time. I tested postive for H-pylori and did the round of antiobitcs for it. After that my symptoms subsided for several months and I felt pretty good. I was also tested for celiac, parasites, occult blood, pancreas funtion  all normal. As of late the symptoms are cropping up again. It's not so much diarrhea and constpation, but sour/sore throat(im on something for reflux) pains in my lower left side side(i also have fibroids and small polyps on my uterus) bloated feeling. I am not gaining or losing weight. My doc wants me to have a endoscopy and colonoscopy which I have not done yet. yes I know I should but I am a mom of a child with special needs and just have not had the time. I have also been under more stress and anxiety thanusual in the last 6 months or so.I also have allergies.
Also going on since maybe last fall I have had a general ill feeling, under the weather that comes and goes.It ha been happening every couple of weeks since May, when my life got a lot more stressed.  My sinuses feel "wet" but I do not have a runny nose. I have a low grade fever that last for days. My throat is irritated all the time, more on the right side. When my throat is bothering me it usually causes some stomach upset. My mouth has dry patches at times, and the roof of my mouth and tongue feel like I have burned my mouth on hot food. . I have to take ambien to sleep and still wake up feeling not completely rested. I hav ebeen to my ENT and urgent care several times. They said that it wasnt a throat infection or strep, possibly allergies or a virus and it had to run its course. They did chek my urine becuase i complained of it burning abit when I urinated and I had a elevated white count.
I just want to feel better. I have afamily that I need to take care of and I like to work out and try to stay healthy but more and more I cannot exercise and more and more I just feel rotten. Does this sound like EBV??

First of all (please keep in mind I'm not a doctor, but someone who has dealt with EBV and spent a significant amount of time studying it), I would say to hold off on the pro-biotic stuff; if you are dealing with EBV, there isn't a magical "cure" or anything to help you fight the infection.  I do have a few questions for you though.  First, have you ever (to your knowledge) had mono?  Given your age, it's very likely you have (about 90% of adults have by age 30).  Also, you mentioned a significant increase in stress/anxiety.  This is by far one of the biggest causes of EBV "re-activation", which is basically where the virus becomes active again, and it's pretty much like going through mono again.  So I would say that's a possibility in your case.  However, your symptoms really don't sound like the typical ones for EBV; I think they sound more like severe allergies, combined with the IBS and stress.  Do you take anything for allergies?  If not, it would definitely be worth trying.  On the other hand, you mentioned that your white blood count is high; this is an indication that your body is fighting some type of infection.  My advice would be to talk with your doctor along those lines, to see if there's anything specific he/she would like to test you for, given the high WBC.  Hope this helps, and don't be afraid to ask any more questions you may have!

do this first; go to vitamin store; buy Pro-biotics enough to take 100 BILLION culture counts daily x 2 wks, 50 x 2 wks, stop and stay at 25 billion culture counts daily.
.  see if this does not solve your problems

        ...... good luck
