Different diets work for different people. Low-carb doesn't work for everyone. If it doesn't work for you, then you need different kind of diet, maybe a more moderate-carb diet. Count calories. Figure out what your maintenance calories per day are, cut it down by at least 25%, and don't eat any more than that per day.
